Student Registration

Enrollment

As a public school system, we welcome all students who live within the district's boundaries and meet state age and health requirements.

  • Parents and guardians must be legal residents within the school district’s boundaries. Parents and guardians will be required to prove residency before a student’s enrollment is completed. Board of Education Policy 7:60 (Residence) and 7:60 AP-2 provide regulations and information regarding residency. In particular, Administrative Procedure 7:60 AP-2 (Residence) provides information on the documentation that will be required at the point of enrollment for proof of residency. Click on the links below to view the policy and administrative procedure.

  • Enrollment for new and transfer students begins by calling to make an appointment with our registrar at 708-448-2800.

Parents of students who are transferring from other schools must arrange for the transfer of student records and must present a letter of good standing. The Illinois State Board of Education form must be used. Additional regulations concerning transfer students are contained in Board of Education Policy 7:50 (School Admissions and Student Transfers To and From Non-District Schools).

  • Do you have concerns about speech, language, or learning for your 3 or 4 year old child?  The program at Worth School District 127 is for children that are at risk of future academic difficulties who would benefit from a school experience prior to Kindergarten.  Eligibility is determined by a screening assessment and parent interview.

The screening process includes evaluation of the following areas:

    • Speech and language
    • Vision and hearing
    • Fine & Gross Motor Skills
    • Cognitive Skills

Children must be age 3 by September 1st.  The screening takes approximately 1.5 – 2 hours and is provided at no cost to the parents and children at Worth School District 127.  Space is limited in our program.  Screening does not guarantee placement.

You can start by filling out this online questionnaire about your interest in the PreSchool program.

  • Students must be age 5 by September 1, 2026 in order to be enrolled in Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year. Board of Education Policy 7:50 (School Admissions and Student Transfers To and From Non-District Schools) states the age requirement. Click on the link below to obtain more detailed information.

The original birth certificate for the child must be presented at the District Office.  The birth certificate is a mandatory document.

Only the parent or legal guardian may register a child in the district.
